Gold Dust Cafe

Gold Dust Cafe, which is housed in the Brooks Drug Store building in Jacksonville (shown in this image), is now carrying my cards and magnets showcasing their building.  They will also have framed images for sale and through the holidays, "Seasons Greetings from Jacksonville" card packages.  I hope a lot of people stop in to buy my art, as well as eat their yummy gourmet burgers.

Seasons Greetings from Jacksonville

I'm working on Jacksonville Christmas cards to place in local stores.  I emailed an order form to friends and neighbors as well.  I hope the local residents like them.  :)  I think I'll make this a tradition, a new design each year.  I guess that means I'll have to paint something "Christmas-like" during the year.  That'll be fun!

Public Art in Portland

I took photos at this public art display in Portland, Oregon.  I took photos of the whole installation, but it was the closeups that were so interesting.  I love this, the colors and the shapes.

Art du Jour

Art du Jour

I am so drawn to graphic images.  I found myself taking closeups of the geometric grids on buildings rather than the whole building.  How cool is this one?

And of course this image peaked my interest the most.  Something about squares!
Today I turned in an application and left paintings to be juried at Art Du Jour in Medford.  Great little gallery and Interior Design studio.  I've met two artists from the gallery so far and they are both very nice.  Makes me want to be part of their group.  Not sure if my style will fit into what they like, but we shall see.

Medford Mail Tribune

Mail Tribune My name was mentioned in the Medford Mail Tribune, Tempo section, today as an artist at Jacksonville Celebrates the Arts festival this is taking place this weekend. The disappointment was the incorrect spelling of my name (Cami rather than Cammy), but the cool part was my Gramma getting so excited to see my name in her daily newspaper. She cut out the article for me and underlined my name. Very cute. I will always look at that clipping and think of her. :)

New Paintings

Two new paintings. I had fun with the Thistles painting. I wanted to try something new, but that popped off the canvas. I still used the texture first and then painted with bright colors. I quite like it. If it doesn't sell, perhaps i will hang it on my bedroom wall. :)
